Middlesex & Westminster to wit The Information
of Garnet Terry< no role > of Pater Noster Row London
Engraver who being on Oath Saith that on
Saturday last Josh. Long< no role > Copper plate Printer
in the City & Liberty of Westminster applied to
this Informant to Engrave a Blank promisorey
Note for which he than gave him Instructions
and this Informant further Says that he there suspecting
no evil Intentions in sd. Long, began to Execute his
Order, but sd. Long Instructing him to put the
Sum Twenty in the Margin in white Letters
on a Black Ground & the Word Entd. at the
bottom of the sd. note under the word Twenty &
from some other Circumstances began to suspect
that the sd. Long ment to have a promisory
Note Engraved Resembling the Notes of the
Governor & Company of the Bank of England
with Intention to defraud his Majestys
Subjects and that as soon therefore as
he had received full Instructions from sd.
