The Information of
Thomas Evans< no role >
taken before
me this 3rd. day of April 1776
Who being upon Oath says that in the Evening of Sunday the 3rd. of
March last about 7 or 8 o Clock as he was entering the house where he lodges in Clark's
Court
Bishopsgate Street
he perceived that some person was holding
the Door on the Inside, that soon afterwards he was permitted to enter
when he saw two Men with one of them he immediately struggled
that the other of the said two Men fired a Pistol at this Informant
and wounded him in the face that he does believes that two persons
now present who call themselves Richard Hatch< no role >
and Stephen Player< no role >
are the two persons who had entered the said houses, and that he does
verily believe their Intention was to rob the House
