The Information of

taken before me this
6th. day of January 1773
Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Edgar< no role >
for
himself says that on the second Day of December the said John
Palmer< no role >
brought an Order for the Payment of Money now produced purperting
to be the Order of Thos. Nedham< no role >
upon Messrs. Child & Co. for the
Payment of forty pounds to Mr. Jepson or Bearer dated London
Nov. 27. 1772 to Messrs. Childs & Co. Bankers at Temple Bar
and received the said sum of forty pounds for it, and the said
John Palmer< no role >
for himself says that the same day he was sent
by a person now present who, call himself Thomas Howard< no role >
to
receive the said Sum of Messrs. Childs & Co. that the said Thomas
Howard published the said Order to him as true in the City of
London and that this Informant paid the said Thomas
Howard the said sum of Forty pounds the next day, and
these Informant further say that they do verily believe that
the said Thomas Howard< no role >
otherwise Jekyll< no role >
did feloniously utter
and publish the said Order for payment of Money as true
knowing it to be falsely made forged and counterfeited with
Intention to defraud Messrs. Child & Co.
