The Examination of Priscilla White< no role > of Wool
pack alley Hounsditch in the City of London Single
woman taken beforeme oneus two of his Majestys Justices
of the peace for the sd. County this 29th. day of June
1770 upon her Oath deposeth as followeth

This Examinant Saith That on Monday Night the
28th of June about half an hour after ten oClock at the
end of Woolpack alley in Hounsditch in the City of London
as she was going along one Mark Marks< no role > followed
her and asked her to give him a Shilling when She
answered him She hadnot a Shillingno Money he then asked
her for six pence when She answered him again is not
six pence Money he then sd. You [..] must I lay in
the Street for want of a Shilling he immediately
knocked her down and took away her black Silk Hat
from off her Head and ran away with it And
Row a Woman called Rosey Moses Came by her and
said She Saw Mark Marks< no role > have the Hat in his
Hand She then turned back & followed the sd. Marks
and went into Mrs. Lillys House in Gravel Lane Hounsditch and
was telling Mrs. Lilly how She was robbed by the sd.
Mark marks< no role > when he came into the sd. Mrs Lillys
House and brot. in one Deford Wolfe< no role > with him when
they spoke to each other in the Dutch Language
then this Examinant asked Mrs Lilly what he was
speaking about when She replied that Marks said to
the other to take the Hat out of his Hands and he would
throw her down and take the Buckels out of her Shoes
and accordingly he took out the sd. Buckels out of her
Shoes and immediately after Deford Wolfe took a Gold
Ring & a pair of Parts Earrings & a Gold Ducat which was
in a box [..] out of her pocket and Marks took from off her
