I attended at the Old Baily this whole
day to give evidence on Your behalf on the
Indictment of Mr: Millers for Forgery and was in
Good proper it would have come on to day as
know the Whole Transactions relative to the charge,
against You I think my evidence would in
a great measure clear up your Character but
I am sorry to aquaint you that a very unen-
fected accident have happened that will Prevent
my Attendance on Monday or on Tuesday but
if you can put of your Trayl till Wenesday you
may depend on my attendance I am sorry this
Accident as happ'ned as I should asist you in
every thing that was consistant with Truth
and honesty the moment I come to Town I shall
call on you Till then I am your Freind and
Wall washer
