John Golightly< no role > and William Golightly< no role > of Popes
Head Alley London jointly and severally maker Oath and
Say that Jacob Slatter< no role > late of Goswell street in the County
of Middlesex Hosier and Haberdasker is a material
Witness for these Deponents and without the benefit of his
Testimony these Deponents cannot safely prefer any
Indictment against the abovenamed Defendant pursuant
to their Recognizance And saith that the said Jacob Slatter< no role >
was bound over to appear as a Witness in the Penalty of One
hundred pounds at which him he kept a Hosier Shop
in the house of Mr. George Jopson< no role > in Goswell street
aforesaid And this Deponent William Golightly< no role > Saith
that on Wednesday and Thursday the twenty Fourth and
twenty fifth days of February last he went to the said
Jacob Slatter< no role > s Lodging in Goswell street aforesaid to
make enquiry after the said Jacob Slatter< no role > and Saith that
on the said twenty Fourth day of February he there
saw Mr. George Jepson< no role > and was by him informed and
which Information he this Deponent verily believes is true that the said Jacob
Slatter is lately broke and that he went away from his
Lodgings about a fortnight ago and that he had not
been heard of since And saith that he this Deponent on the said twenty
fifth day of February saw the said Jacob Slatter< no role > s wife
and was informed by her and which information this
