maketh Oath & saith the He this Deponent
had a Notice in his possession Directed to the above named
Thomas Roberts< no role >
purporting that the said Bolland would
appear at the next General Sessions of Oyer and Terminer
to be Holden for the City of London at Justice Hall in
the Old Baily, on Thursday the Twenty second of October
Instant at Nine of the Clock in the forenoon, and that he
the said Bolland, would then and there Surrender
himself in open Court, and Plead not Guilty to the
said Indictment, And this Deponent further saith
that he did on Saturday the seventeenth Instant, go
from his place of Abode, and took the said Notice with
Intent to serve the same and did for that purpose
strictly inquire of several Persons (Vizt.) of the above
named James Bolland< no role >
at the Fleet Prison
and also
of Mr. Chitham at Mr. Fords in Coleman Street London
And as this Deponent verily believes and was informed by Thomas
Mellor< no role >
Gentleman
with whom this Deponent Resides as Clerk
at Cripplegate Buildings
aforesaid, that He the said Thomas
Mellor did particularly Inquire of John Shaw< no role >
