Whereas Thomas Keen< no role > together with two other persons
his Sureties did on the 9th day of this Instant January
enter into Recognizance for the Appearance of the said Thos.
Keene at the then next Sessions of the Peace to be holden for the
City of London to Answer the Complaint of the Churchwarden
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn
London touching the unlawfully begetting one Ann Mobbs< no role >
with Child of which Child the sd. Ann Mobbs had sworn that
Thomas Keene< no role > to be the Father and which said Child was in
the Month of March last born a Bastard in and was become
and likely to continue chargeable to the said Parish of Saint
Andrew Holborn Now I William Roach< no role > one of the
Overseers of the poor of the said Parish do hereby acknowledge
and Certify that the said Thomas Keene< no role > hath since entering
into the said Recognizance fully paid and Satisfied to the
Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the sd. Parish all
Costs Charges and Expences which the said Churchwarden and
Oversees have been hitherto put unto touching the Maintenance
of the sd Bastard Child and hath sufficiently indemnified the
Inhabitants of the sd. Parish against all future charges and
Expences concerning the same And there being now nothing to
Alledge against the said Thomas Keene< no role > concerning the Premises
I do on behalf of myself and other the Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish consent and Desire that the said Thomas
Keen and his Bail may be Discharged from the said
Recognizance Dated the Twenty fifth day of January
1766
