did in the Month of February last enter into Recognizance
to Appear at the then next Session's to be holden for the
City of London to Answer the Complaint of the Church
-warden and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Saint
Andrew Holborn London Concerning the begetting one
Margaret Prosser< no role > This name instance is in set 902. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS . with Child of which the said Margaret
Prosser had then lately sworn the said John Rufe< no role > to be the
Father and that the said Child was likely to be born a
Bastard and to become chargable to the said Parish
We whose names are hereunder written being the
Churchwarden and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish
Do hereby Acknowledge and Declare that we have been by
the said John Rufe fully paid and Satisfied all Costs and
Charges which have Accrued to the said Parish on Account
of the lying in of the said Margaret Prosser< no role > and the
Maintenance of her Child or any way relative thereto and
having now nothing to alledge against the said John
Rufe do [..] Consent and desire that he be discharged
from his said Recognizance Dated the 21st26th day of
MayApril 1764
