Whereas two Men named Chumero and Subdee, were
at a Session of Oyer and Terminer and General Gaol
Delivery held for the Town of Calcutta in Bengal in the
East Indies in the Year 1762 capitally convicted [..]
Felony for an Assault and Robbery in the Street We
have thought fit upon Consideration of some Circumstances
humbly represented unto Us in their Behalf inducing
Us to extend Our Grace and Mercy to them to grant
them Our Free pardon for the said Crime Our Will and
pleasure therefore is that the said two Men named
Chumero and Subdee be respectively inserted for their
said Crime in the First and next General Pardon that
shall come out for the poor Convicts of Newgate And for
so doing this shall be Your Warrant Given at Our Court
at St. James the tenth Day of January 1764
in the
fourth Year of Our Reign.
