Informations taken this 18th. day of March
1758 on an Inquisition taken before Thomas
Beach
< no role > Esqr . his Majesty's Coronor for the City of
London on View of the Body of Joseph Ellwood< no role >
lying dead at the Parish of Saint Sepulchre in the
Ward of Farringdon without London.

John Gee< no role > savant to Mr.John Thomas Bishop< no role >
of the old Bailey London Farr in maketh Oath
and saith that on Friday the tenth of March instant there
having him words passd between the deceased and
one Daniel Bishops< no role > who [..] were both servants
to the said Thomas Bishop< no role > concerning a Pott of
Beer that [..] thereupon the said Daniel
Bristow put his Hand into a Buckett of Water
and spinted some of the Water upon the deced and
also hiched him says the deced desired Bristow
to be quiet & held the Buckett at Water Bristow's head
on which Bristol struck the deced twine upon
the Head with his First That Mr. Bishops
Servants then parted the deced & Bristol & the
deced immediately went to his work & continued
at [..] it an Honour two and further says not.

Robert Farr< no role > anor. servt . of the said Thomas Bishop< no role >
upon his Oath saith that on Friday the 10th. instant
as the deced was pouring some without of a Buckett
into a Pet to heat it, Bristol with his hand
spinted some of the water into the Fars of the
deced upon the which the deced endeavored to
throw the [..] water at Bristole & [..] Bristow to
prevent it [..] street the deced & there
him against the Hinder What of a Coock that
stood there, the deced hiring his Head with
great force agt. the Febly of the said Wheel
says, seeing the deced appeared to be very ill Dept.
advised him to go home & take care of himself [..]
believes her did go have accordingly that some few
Hours afterwards Dept. went saw the deced, whose
Head was bound up, & the deced was then drinking in
the Publick Room, but sayer too did not then apprehend him
to be in any danger of his life
