At the General Quarter Session of the peace of Our
Lord the King holden for the City of London at the Guildhall
within the said City on Monday the seventh day of April
1755 . And in the Twenty eighth year of the Reign of Our
Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc
before Stephen Theodore Janssen< no role > Esqr Mayor of the City
of London Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr . one of the Alderman of the said
City William Moreton< no role > Esqr . Recorder of the said City
Thomas Chitty< no role > Esqr . Richard Beckford< no role > Esqr . other of
the Aldermen of the said City And others their
Fellows Justices of Our said Lord the King Assigned
to keep the peace of Our said Lord the King within
the said City and also to hear and Determine
Divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds
Committed within the said City.

Whereas the Mayor and Commonally & Citizens of the City of
London Appealed at the last General Quarter Session of the peace
holden for the City of London aforesaid on Monday the fourteenth day of January
last past against the Rate or Assment herein after mentioned made
for the Relief of the poor of the parish of Saint Mary Woolchurch Haw
within the same City And thereupon by an Order of Court made in
the said General Quarter Session holden at the Guildhall by Adjournmt.
upon Thursday the thirteenth day of February last the further
hearing and Determination of the said Appeal was Adjourned untill
this present Session and Power was given by that Court by Consent
of [..] parties unto The Right Honourable Stephen Theodore Janssen< no role > Esqr .
Lord Mayor of this City and other Referrees in the said Order, And
herein after named to Settle all Matters in Difference between the
parties touching the said Appeal And Whereas in pursuant
of the said Order ofsaidCourt The said Mayor, Sir Crisp Gascoyne< no role >
Knight and Alderman of the City of London and Samuel Touchett< no role > of
London Merchant the Referrees thereby empowered have made and
published their Award and Opinion in Writing of and Concerning the
Premisses under their hands and Seals bearing date on or about the
fourth day of this Instant April thereby (after receiting the above
mentioned Order of Session) making known (among other things
therein set forth) that they having fully heard what could be Alledged
