The humble Petition of Thomas Woodman< no role >
the
under keeper
of the Prison called the Poultry
Compter.
Sheweth
That Your petitioners rents in the
Parish of Saint Mildred in the Poultry
London the
Goal comonly called the Poultry
Compter
and pays the yearly sum
of Eighty four pounds for the same.
That this Goal before the
late Act to prevent the sale of
Spiritous Liquors in Goal was rented
at £140. P Annumbut by reason
of that act it became of less value, and
the Landlord, throughly sensible of it
reduced the rent to £84., on it is the
full, if not more than the Value of it
That your petitioner is in
respect of the said Goal overated to the
poor of the said Parish in the last Rate
made for there Relief
Your Petitionr. therefore humbly Appeales
against the said Rate and Assemt. and prays such
Relief in the premisses as to Yor. Lop shall seem me
