Tuesday 5th: Janry: 1749

Depositions touching the Death of la Male Infant
found in a privy or house of Office in Green Rents
in the Parish of St. Brides

Job Harrison< no role > of Greens Rents , Maketh Oath & Saith
that on Sunday Mom the Deft: day of Janry: 1749 about
11 or 12 at Noon he this Deponent went down to clean
his Vault & pouned some water down & then went away, But
about 8 the same Even he this Depont went down
again & happend to look down the Vault [..] ,upon
which he perceived something like a Bundle of Rags
& put his finger upon it but could not tell, what it was
But went for a pair of Tongs & took it out; & their saw
it was a Child sewd up in a Cloth, which surpriz'd him
very much, and then went for the Officer of the Parish
and Acquainted him with the affair

This Depont. further Saith that Shew was one they used
to call Lucy that frequently came to this Depont house
and look'd as if she had been with Child, But where
she lives, or what is become of her this Deponent
knows not
