The Examination of Isaac Stitchbury< no role > taken this
seventeenth Day of January 1748 at Guildhall
before me Robert Alsop< no role > Esqt one of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the City of London

Who on his Oath Saith that Robert [..] Griffin< no role > and he
did last Night about five o Clock take out of a shop window
at the Corner of Fryday Street a parcell in a paper with
Six pair of Would and three pair of Men Woosted
Sterkings and from thence they went to Mr. Brewens
shop where they took some handkercheifs and two penes
of Ribbon that this Examinant being taken Grifin Men
away with some of the handkerchief & ribbon and that
before they went about these two Roberies they were
in the fountain Alehouse information Course the made the Same [..] with two
Woman who this Examinant is a Manger to what the said a pot of two [..] puing which was [..] they changed it and that
the said Griffin was concerned with him in Healing
a Silver purt mugg at an alehouse with St Catherines
wear Iron Gate about one mouth agee which was Sold
to one Yeoman in Cable street at the signe of India
arms near well Close Square for three Shillings and
Six pence Pounce it weighing Nine James as also they were
concerned together in Stealing & parcell of Nothings and
handkercheife from a Hop shop in Wixpping neat Door to
a shoe maker last Thursday Night which was sold
by this Examinant to the said Yeoman for forty two
Shillings that they were who wife concerned together last
saturday night in Stealing [..] paid of Nothings
from the Yorkshire Warehouse [..] while tower hill
which they sold to the said Yeoman for two [..] Shillings
together and this Examinant further saith that he and one
John Carroll< no role > now a prisoner in Clerkenwell and one William
walker
< no role > who uses St Gyles's and Christ [..] Stealing [..]
from a shop in Rotherhith about four upon of We Lyunen
handkercheifs near two Months agree which were sold by this
Examinant to the said Yeoman for a broak a peice and that
about four months agoe he and the said walker were concerned
