The Examination of Abraham Hales< no role > taken
before me this 20th. day of December 1748.

This Examinant Confesseth and Saith that he went Yesterday Morning
about ten of the Clock in Company with his Brother Roger Hales< no role > to
a Publick house called the Stone Kitchin in his Majesty's Tower of
London where they both were Drinking out of a Silver Tankard,
Says that when they went out of the House This Examinant put
the said Silver Tankard into his Pocket and Carryed it away to his
Brother's Lodgings in great Peter Street Westminster where they
both beat it to peices and Melted part of it upon the Fire, [..]
And this Examinant further, Saith that all the Melted part together
with some broken peices which Remained Unmelted were taken out
of his said Brothers Lodgings by his said Brother and his Wife
in order to Dispose off.
