for an Assault

Daniel Adams< no role > of the Parish of St. Bartholomew
the great London Cooper maketh Oath that he
this Dept: together with one Francis Leigh< no role > at the
last General Quarter Sessions of the Peace holden
for the City of London Entered into Recognizance
for the Personal appearance of the above named
Edward Ward< no role > at this present General Sessions of
the Peace now held for the said City to try his Traverse
on an Indictment found against him for an Assault
on the above named Prosecutor Robert Stevens< no role > on
but this Dept. Saith that the said Edward Ward< no role >
is now Dead and Died on or about the fourth day
of this instant February so that it is impossible
for this Dept. and the said Leigh to Comply with the
tenor of the said Recognizance.

23d. day of February 1746

Sworn at Guildhall London the
23d. day of Febry 1746 .
