in ye Pence yt feloniously Willfully yt did
make an Assault & yt ye sayd John Hewlet with a Certaine Wooden Staff of ye Value of
one penny the sayd Joseph Candy feloniously Willfully Etc did Strike & knock down
& did then & there give unto the sayd Joseph Candy with ye Wooden Staff aforesayd One
mortall house in & upon ye Left side of his head neare ye Crown of which sayd mortall
brinfe he ye sayd Joseph Candy did then & there Instantly dye They fyude ye sayd John
Hewlet Guilty of Murder but fyade as goods Chattels Etc
Pray draw also a bill of Murder for ye same fact
