For that the Deft.. by Conspiracy the 10th. Day of February Anno Rui Dui Georgy nunc Regis Magn
Britan Etc Quinto did knowingly Subtly & Falsly procure frame & [..] utrive a certain false writeing
in paper purporteing that one William Lawrence< no role > by the name of William Lawrence< no role > son of Thomas
Lawrence
< no role > Citizen & Salter of London and also for that the Sd. Deft. in further prosecucon of their Said Conspiracy
did Shew & publish the Sd. False Writeing & then & there did likewise appear wth. the Sd. William Lawrence< no role >
before the Said Chamberlain for a true Writeing & then & there did likewise appear wth. the Sd. William Lawrence< no role > before
ye Sd. Chamberlain & Severally averr'd & Declared to the Sd. Chamberlain that ye. Sd. William Lawrence< no role > in the Sd
Writeing Named & there prsent was the Son or reputed Son of Thomas Lawrence< no role > Citizen & Salter of
London in the Sd. Writeing menconed Where upon the Sd. Chambertain beleiving the Sd. Writeing and
Declacon of the Defts. to be true did admitd. & Swear the Sd. William Lawrence< no role > into the Freedome of the Sd
City Whereas the Sd- William Lawrence< no role > in truth was not the Son of the Sd. Thomas Lawrence< no role > in the Sd. Writing
menconed In Maln Exempln Etc In Subversion privileg Etc contrapacem Etc.

Case

About a Year and a Quarter Since William Lawrence< no role > it Seemes makeing complaint to the Deft.
Sherwood that he was very poor & not in condicon of getting his liveing for want of being free of the City
sherwood thereupon undertook to procure him his Freedome & for that purpose told him he would get a
copy of one Thomas Lawrence< no role > a Palter's Freedome wch. was also the name of the Father of William Lawrence< no role >
and that if he Could but procure Six persons to Swear him to be the Son of that Thomas Lawrence< no role > in
the copy menconed he would then obtain his Freedome Lawrence did thereupon apply to one Gearing a Soldr
by Sherwood direccon who took ten Shillings to procure that Evidence but Gearing not Succedding
Sherwood and Tillard first got him made free of the Salters Company and afterwards got four
persons more to couch before the Chamberlain that he was the Son of the Sd. Thomas Lawrence< no role > as
above Whereupon he was made free Mr Chamberlain afterwards haveing resed Some informacon
that this Freedome had been fraudulently obtained Sent for Lawrence & interrogated him upon it
Lawrence at Length confesses the Rognery put Informacon of him Self & his Wife taken before
