months of October seaven Years since John Norris< no role > [..] of Eliffords June
Great ones night (when she lodged over against Norfolke Streete in
the Strand ,) had the Carnall Knowledge of here Body and by
when She then conceived and on the twenty Second day of
May followeing she this Depont: was delivered of a Male Child
now liveing, And this Depont: further maketh oath that the
said John Morris< no role > is the reall father of the said child and
noe other pson whatsoever besides, And she this Depont:
further maketh oath, that one Barbara Wharton< no role > was a
Servt: in the house att the Same time when the said Norris by
wth. this Depont. and she the said Wharton sheeted the bedd
they lay in, and knows the sd. Morris Severall times before
and after frequented this Depts: company, that this Depont;
has made dilligent Inquiry after the said Wharton, and is
informed she is now out of Downe, and Saith she is a very
materiall wittnesse for the aforesd. Parish of St: Dunstans and
without whose evidence they said parish is advised they cannot
proceed to try this affair
