The Examinacon and Confession of George Chittle< no role > of
meeting house yard in the Parish of St. Mary in White Chappell
taken before me John Stewart< no role > Esqr . one of her Maties Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middx.

The said George Chittle Confesseth That on the one & Thirtieth day of
Decembr. last between six and seven of the Clock in the Evening he
went into Hayden yard with Henry May< no role > James Pewterer< no role > This name instance is in set 4713. Joseph
Dickinson
< no role > and Jos Armstrong< no role > where knowing their design to break
open a warehouse he this Examint. went away & would not pyne
with them therein, and soone after James Pewterer over took the
Examint. in mansell street and desired him to take from him the
said pewterer some Tobacco and carry it to the house of one Dykes
at the Three Travellers in Church Lane , and told this Examint.
that an hour after he got to the said Dykes'sall the said psons above
named came thither to him with Tobacco, and the same night he
went with the said psons to a Hosieur neare Well Close where they
sold part of the said Tobacco for Twelve Shillings & six pence at the
rate of Five pence P pound, and Confesses that he had two shillings
part of the said money, and alsoe Confesses that the same night he was
with the said psons when they sold more of the same Tobacco taken out
of the said Warehouse to a Chandler in East Smithfield for six shillings
& three pence at the rate of six pence p pound, but denies he find any
part or share of the money. And this Examint. alsoe Confesses that
about twelve or one of the Clock at Norve the day the sd. Warehouse was
to be open he this Examint. & the others above named went into Hayden
Yard to took out for some place to robb, & the said Pewterer then fixt upon
the above menconed Warehouse & said he would get in it at night if he
could, And likewise confesses that he had in the whole Eight shillings and
six pence out of the money arising by the goods stolen and of Hayden yard
