Whereas Thomas Gascoigne< no role > of Islington in the County of Middx Gent was bound by Recognizane
taken before Sr . John Pewell< no role > Knt . one of her Maties. Justices of the Courts of Queenes Bench for the Appearance
of him the said Thomas Gascoigne< no role > at this prsent Sessions of the peace holden for the City of London to
answer the Complaint of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poore of the Parish of St.
Buttolph wth. out Aldersgate London for runing away from & refuseing to provide for his wife and
eight Children Whereby all of themtheyhave been and Five of them Still are chargeable to the said Parish Now upon the
Appearance of the said Thomas Gascoigne< no role > in this Court And alsoe of the Churchwardens &
overseers of the Poore of the said Parish of St. Butt wth. out Aldersgate London prosecuteing their said Complaint And upon
Examination of the said Matter by the Oaths of this Witnesses Itt Appeareing To this Court That the said Thomas Gascoingne< no role >
hath been an Inhabitant in the said Pish of St. Butolphs for about [..] yeares where he sayet a Grocers Shopp And
had about 10 Children born in the said Pish of St. Buttolphs And that the said Thomas Gascoigne< no role >
is of ability to mainteyne his said Wife & Children and that [..] Children [..] the said P [..]
to And halling an [..] Estate in Land in State Pish of St. Mary Islington in the County of Middx of the yearely value of
twenty & fewer pounds Twelve pounds
[..] in right of Judith his indent with
24And another Estate in the County of Buckingham of the yearly value of £46
the said Thomas Gate< no role > or one having left & run away from them
This Court therefore upon consideration of the said matter doth admidge the said Faith< no role > his wife
