of the Citty of London and Other her Majtys Justices of ye peace
at the Sessions held at the old Bayly Mrch ye 9th 1703/4 and in
the 3d year of our Sovereign Lady Queen Ann
We the Grand jury for the Citty of London Serveing for this Prsent
Session in Obedience to the Charge given us by this honrable Court
and in complyence wth the Oath we have taken. Do think our
selves obliged to take notice of a certain Scandelous & Seditions
Pamflet entituled Heraditus Ridens. (Sold in this Citty & dispersed
Tending to foment divisions, and debanch ye minds and mannars
of her Majty Subjects, encreasing profaneness and immorallity,
in contempt of her Maty Proclamations for suppressing ye same evilly
And more Pticularly. Lately one of ye said pamflets dated ye 29th of febr
last, and an other dated ye 4th of this present March full of scurillous
and Base reflections on som of this honrable court. (one to witt

lately dead) and also on members of ye high Court
of Parliament, principally for their Zeal in promoting ye work
of Reformation in and about this Citty in pursuance of ye duty
of their office, Tending to the great Scandall of all well disposed Psons
and discouragement of all good magistrates in discharge of ye duty
of theire places, and Stations
We do therfore present ye said pamflett to year Lordship and this
honrable court as very Evill (and Positions to our necessary peace
and union,) and pray that Som effectuall method may be taken
for Suppressing the same and bringing ye Author & publisher thereof
to condigne punishment
