Whereas many Murders Manslaughters and others great Disorders are frequently Committed
and done indivers Taver no and other publick houses whithin theis Citty and the Liberties thereof by Disorderly persons
Recording thereto and abiding therein Att last and Unreasonable House in the night To the ruin of many
Familes And in Sich Publick houses are often Harboured Housebreaks Robbers Served and Sebauched
men and women by reason whereof many These Robberies and other misdemeanors are frequently done
and Committed to the great Disrrubance of the peace Contrary to to the Laws of the Kingdome To the great
Dishonour of the Govermnent of this Citty For preventing of which great Evill and mischiefs for the future
It is Ordered by the Court That all Vintures Coffee Sellers Ale house keepers Victuallers And all others
keeping publick houses within this City and the Liberty thereof do not from heareforth permitt or
Suffer any person or persons To be or Continue in their respective house or houses Cameing Tippleing
or Drinking after the hour of Ten of the Clock in the might Time between Michaellmas and our Lady day
Nor after the hour of Eleaven of the Clock in the night Time between Lay day and Michaellmas
Nor or any part of the Lords day And it is further Ordered That all Constables Matchmen and others Imployed
or intrusited to keep and preserve the peace and good Order of this City in the night Time do make Diligent
Enquiry after and due Observation and Search of all Taverns Alehouses Victualling houses and other
publick houses in this City and the Liberties thereof and give Inforamtion Upon Oath from time to time
to the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor or Some other Justice of the peace of this City of all persons
Offending Contrary hereunto To the End They may be Effectually persecuted and proceeded against
According to Lawe for so doing Att the publick Sessions of the peace To be held for this City As Keepers
of Disorderly houses As They will answer the Contrary Att their perills And itt is further Ordered That this
Order be forthwith printed and publiched And sent to the Severall Constables and Beadles within this City and Liberties
for the better [..] servance thereof
