in the City of London Singlewoman was lately delivd.
of a female Bastard Child which hath been & is
likely to continue Chargeable to the sd. Pish.

Wee the Justices of ye peace for ye Citty of London
aforesaid whose names are hereunder written having
upon the Complaint of the Church wardens & Overseers
of the poor of the sd. Psh of St. Albans taken upon us
the hearing & examinacon of the Sd. Cause do find by
diverse Examinacons testified upon Oath before us ye
the sd. Mary Raven in the Extremuity of her travell
did accuse one Hugh Hunter< no role > an Apprentice to Robt.
Hunter< no role > in ye Sd: Psh of St Albans Woodstreet Pattin maker
to be the father of the sd. Bastard Child And wee
do also find by diverse other pregnant proofs and
Circumstances upon Oath yt the Sd. Hugh Hunter< no role > is
the reputed father of the Sd. Bastard Child and wee
doe thereupon Order and Adjudge him the Sd. Hugh
Hunter< no role > to be ye reputed father of the Sd. Bastard
Child And wee do farther Order for ye releife of ye. Sd. Psh
yt the Sd. Hugh Hunter< no role > doe weekly & every week from & after ye birth
of ye Sd. Child (Soe long as the Child shall be Chargeable to ye Sd. Pish)
pay or Cause to be paid unto ye Church Wardens & Overseers of
the poor of the sd. Psh of St. Albans Woodstreet for ye time then
being (untill the Child shall attaine ye Age of 12 yeares) for and
towards ye keeping and Education of the same Child the Sume
to two Shillings & Six pence and shall within three months
after ye, Sd. Bastard Child shall accomplish her Sd. Age of twelve
yeares pay unto ye Church wardens & Overseers of the Poor
of the Sd. Psh of St. Albans Woodstreet for ye time being for
and towards ye putting out & binding forth ye Sd. Child to be an Apprentice
the Sume of five pounds of Lawfull English money And Lastly
Wee doe Order yt the Sd. Hugh Hunter< no role > doe become bound in a
bond of forty pound unto John Davis< no role > and John Folly< no role > two
of ye Overseers of ye Poor of the Sd. Pish of St. Albans Woodstreet
well & truly to pforme this Order Witness our hands & seath
hereunto Sett this twenty third day of March Adom 1694
in ye Seaventh Year of ye Reigne of William ye 3rd. of England
