The Informacon of Wm Stiles< no role > of Fore Streete were
Cripplegate [..] Shoe maker , taken upon Oath
this 11th Day of September Anno Dui 1694

This Informant Saith that on thursday the three and twentieth
day of Augst last one Willm Hall< no role > came to this Informants
Shopp and desired him to stay wth in untill his brother
Thomas Hall< no role > came that this informant might fitt him wth
a paire of Shoes and thereupon went away, and in a Short
time after the Said Thomas Hall< no role > came and fitted himselfe wth a
paire of Shoes and desired this Informant to carry them
to a Taverne were Billingsgate and there he Should be paid
for them, and this Informant haveing carryed the Shoes thither,
one of the Drawer shewed him into a roome, and Soone after
the Said Thomas Hall< no role > came, and being sale downe he said
that the man that was to pay for the Shoes was not yett come
but would be there prsently, and soone after one Goddin a
Butcher came into the roome and the Said Thomas Hall< no role >
took up the shoes and carryed them away wth him, and
shutt the Dore after him, leaveing this Informant and the
Said Goddin together and Soone after this another Pson came
and forced open the Dore and Said his name was Macey, and
came into the roome and Said, Money he wanted & Money
he would have and thereupon the Said Goddin pulled a Bagg
of Money out of his pockett and laid it upon the Table and
went away Saying he would come againe, and in the meane
time the Pson who Prtended himselfe to be Mr Macey Said
he must have money of this Informant, for that he this
Informant and the Said [..] Goddin were mett upon Some
Treasonable designe and threatened to carry him to ye Tower,
to wch this Informant answered that he might use his
pleasure, and forth wth the Said Goddin came againe and
Said that the Said Macey did belong to the Tower and that
he the Said Goddin was his servant, and thereupon ye Said
Goddin wth his Knife in his hand, and the Said Macey threatened
what they would doe to this Informant if he would not goe
wth them, and wth these menaces and threates they putt this
Informant into a Coach and carryed him as farr as Tower
Hill Prtending to carry him to the Tower Saying they could Sweare Treason agt, him but instead of carrying
him
