of Fleete Streete gent taken upon
Oath this nynth day of January
Ano Dm 1693

This Informt. Saith upon Oath that he this
Informt passing by Fleete Bridge this evening
he saw three or fower boyes Standing by
a Puddle of water And as this Depont was
passing by them and goeing close to the Wall
to avoid the water he perceived that he
had lost a Silver hilted Sword of the vallue of Twenty Shilling which he
had by his Side, And imediatly the other
Exaiant Obediah Fowell< no role > came upp to this
Depont. and asked him what he had lost
And this Depont. answered he had lost his
Sword And the Fowell told this Depont. the
said three Boyes that tooke it were run
away by Fleetditch And thereupon this Depont.
and the said Fowell run after them and
apprehended one of them whose gives his
name to be John Shorter< no role >
