The Informacon of Abell Sparkeman< no role > of the Forrest of
Altchost in the County of Sowthton taken on oath before Sir
Thomas Stampe< no role > Knight one of theire Maties Justice of
the Peace for this City the 25th day of Janury 1692

1692/93.


This Informant Saith that the house of Mr Mary Carter< no role > of the
Forrest of Alceholt aforesaid was broken open on Friday the
13th day of this Instant Janury And Saith the said Mrs
Carter did till this Informant the said house was broken open
about one of the Clocke on the Satturday morneinge being the
14th of Janury aforesaid and that 4 Persons came into the
house and beleives one other might hold the horses for this
Informeant did on Satturday morneinge pceive the treade of
one man with the horses, And this Informant further Saith
the said Mr Carter did on Satturday morneing send to him
to come to her and being with her She told him that 2: or
3 of the said [..] Persons tooke her and her daughter Vizard maske and
put them on theire faces and Bound her the said Mr Carter
and her Daughter one Gentleman, and two maid Servants
being all of the howsehold both hands and foote and tooke and
caried away the most of her Plate Severall gold rings a Gold
watch and mony both Gold and Silver in all to the value
of about £200: and Beleives that one Paull Timberland< no role > to
be one of the said five Persons for that he found a
Blacke Best lyeing on the Floore in the house of the said
Mr Carter on the 14th Instant which he Beleives to be
the Best of the aforesaid Paull Timberland he haveing
formerly Seene it in the Custody of the said Timberland
