maketh Oath That whereas
St Mary Overses Church
and the Church of St Bartholomewes
the Greate London were both Robbed by Christopher Ashly< no role >
and Robert Cossitt< no role >
both of London now in habitants of White
Chappell Parish
St Mary Oneries Church being Robbed in the
month of October 1689, and St Bartholomews Church in the
Month of November 1689, This deponent Further maketh Oath.
That Edmund Ouldershaw< no role >
that was then living in St Anns Lane
neare
Aldersgate
London did buy the Plate that waytakenstolen from both
the aforesaid Churches he the said Edmund Ouldershaw< no role >
knowing at the
same time he bought the Plate that the Plate was stolen and this depont.
further maketh Oath That John Whitwood< no role >
living neare the Old. Barly
was pring to Edmond Ouldershawes buying the Plate that was stolen
from St Mary Overies Church, and that Whitwood had one of the Theeves
in his Possession Namely Christopher Ashly< no role >
and that he the said Whitwood
tooke Twenty Three Guineas of Ashly to discharge him and Lott him go which
Whitwood accordingly did, after which time Ashly and Collett Robbed the
Church of Greate St Bartholomews and this repont further saith and maketh
Oath That John Whitwood< no role >
hath Corresponded with Severall Theiner that
have Committed Severall Burghlawres and some thathathhave Robbed in the
Highwayes' and severall Clippers of mony he knowing them to be such in all
respects and receiving monies of them and incouraging them to go on in their
wicked designes
