The Information of William Booth< no role > taken
on Oath the 4th. day of September 1789 before
me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex

Who Saith That on the first of September last about
Nine O'Clock in the Evening as he was going to his home
in Sanders Gardens in the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch withcontaininga Hankderchief containing
therein three Waistcoats one Coat and a pair of
Breeches which he carried under his left Arm some
person came behind him in Sanders Gardens aforesaid
and Violently Snatched the Bundle from under his
Arm which quite pulled him round And then he
saw Samuel Avery< no role > the Prisoner running away
with his Bundle, On which he called out stop
thief presently a person came to this Informant and
told him he would look for his bundle and on looking
among some Logs of wood which lay there he
found the bundle with all its Contents, when
immediately John Armstrong< no role > a Constable had
taken the Prisoner and brought him to this Informant
and he was the next morning taken before a
Magistrate and that the bundle produced by this
Informant is the same which was taken and
carried away from him as aforesaid by the said
Samuel Avery< no role > .
