The Informations of Charles Jellous< no role > John
Clark
< no role > and John Shallard< no role > takenbefore
this 28th.. Day of July 1789

Who being severally upon Oath say and first
the said Charles Jellous< no role > for himself says that on the 23rd Instant
having Received intelligence that Sarah Fields the Wife of William
Fields
< no role > of the House marked No. 1 Taylors Row Islington was concerned
with some others in Colouring Base Metal resembling shillings
he went to the said House and after forcing his way into the
same he found the false and Counterfeit Money. now produced
on the Necessary House belonging the rateAnd this Informant
further says that before he had enter'd the said House the
said Sarah Fielde threw some Liquor into the Street, which he
verily believes to be Aqua Fortis and water. And the said John Clark< no role >
for himself says that [..] he was present at the House of
William Fielde< no role > on the 23rd.. Instant when he saw John Townsend< no role >
who was also present find theapeice of Cork [..] the file some
scouring paper and some blacking now produced all of which
this [..] Informant believes had been used in Colouring Coun-
terfiet Half Crowns Shillings and Sixpences. And the said John
Shallard
< no role > for himself says that he also was present at the House of
the said Fielde, on the 23rd.. Instant and upon searching the person
of said Sarah Fielde< no role > he found in her Pocket Eight Shillings and
five Six Pences, out of which the Six Shillings and One Six Pence
now produced, are Counterfeit, and which to Appearance are
of the same kind with those Counterfeit Shillings found in the
Necessary
