she had then burning in the Room
That he afterwards seized hold of an
Umbrella which was then placed on the
floor near to the side of the window and
attempted to steal the same, But this
Informant immediately jumped out of Bed
screamed out and alarmed the family
when the said George Clark< no role > dropt his
hold of the Umbrella & endeavoured to
make his escape [..]

And this Informant Ann Hampson
for herself saith that she lives in the
adjoining house to the said Thomas Alexanders< no role >
That about a quarter of an hour before
three of the Clock on Wednesday morning
last she heardthea screaming noise
in Mr. Alexander's house when she opened
the back window having at same time a
Candle in her hand, that she could
plainly see the said George Clark< no role > coming
over the Shade in the Yard adjoining to
