The Information of Isaac Jefferies< no role > at No 4
[..] in the Parish of Isle worth Labourer
taken on Oath before me this 26th. day of August 1789.

Who being on Oath says, that on Monday Evening last about
Six oClock he went to the Rose & Crown Publickhouse about a Mile from
his Lodging, where he met a Woman, whom he had seen several times
before, that he joined Company with her, and Staid there 'till near
Ten oClock, during which time this Informant and said Woman drank
three Pints of Porter, that during the time he was at said Publick
house, the three persons now present, who call themselves John Goulder< no role >
William Reeves< no role > , and John Beck< no role > , were there also, that the said
William Reeves< no role > asked Informant to give him some Tobacco, which
he refused to do, soon after which said William Reeves< no role > said to
this Informant, Dawn Your Soul, I'll mark you before you get
home, that when he came out of said Publick house, in order to go
home to his Lodging, he left said Woman, John Goulder< no role > , William Reeves< no role > ,
and John Beck< no role > in the house, that as he had just got over
Brentford Bridge in his way home, the said John Goulder< no role > , William
Reeves
< no role > , and John Beck< no role > over took him, and without saying any
thing to Informant Collared him, and knocked him down, he got
up and was again knocked down a Second and third time, that
they then Kicked him very much, dragged him along, took his Hatt
and Swore they would beat his brains out, and throw him over the
bridge into the River, if he did not give them his Money, which
hedidComplied with and which Money consisted of a Six pence in Silver and
three pence in Copper half pence, that they then left him, And the next
day he obtained a Warrant of Paul Vaillant< no role > Esqr. against the said
three Persons.
