The Information of John Wilkins< no role > of
Guildford Surrey Barge Master and John
Shallard
< no role > of Bow Street Covent Garden Pastry
Cook taken on Oath before me this 31st day
of August 1789.

Who being on Oath severally say and first
the said John Wilkins< no role > for himself says that on the Twelfth day
of August instant in his way from the Bank his Pocket was
Picked of the Pocket took and Promissory Note for the
Payement of Seventy eight Pounds Fifteen Shillings now produced
that he Missed said Pocket book and Promissory Note in
Fleet Street and that he did not perceive the same taken from
him. And the said John [..] Shallard< no role > for himself
says that on Thursday last he went to the house of the person
now present who calls himself Richard Coleman< no role > in Melancholly
Walk, Black fryars Road, And in a Cupboard under the Stairs
he found the Pocket book and Promissory Note now Produced
by him. That Informant asked said Richard Coleman< no role > have
he came by said Pocket book and Note who replied that he
received it from another person with intent to restore it
[..] to the owner
