Horse from this Examinant and gave it to a boy whom
this Examinant had before seen with him in Cavendish
Street. That said Man desired this Examinant to
Walk in and he would pay him for the Horse. That
they both went into a Room where said Man desir'd
him to sit down and he would pay him for it. That said
Man ask'd Examinant if he was being up, Examt.
replied No, That said Man said "he had been walkg.
about all day, was hungry and would go out and
get a place of Bread and Butter", and went out for
that purpose, but never return'd nor could he [..] this
Examinant find his Horse in said Yard. That
having seen said Man with Newman as aforesaid
he went to Newman's Stables to enquire after him,
where, he was informed by Newman Wife that,
the Horse had been brought then by said Man
whom she did not know, and that said Man had
lock'd the Stable door and taken the Has with him
That after calling at said Newman's three Times
last Night, and being informed that Newman
was not at home, he determined to watch Newman's
Stables all Night, which he did, and between six and
seven o'Clock this Morning, said Newman came
out, riding said Horse. That he immediately laid
hold of said Horse by the bridle and told said Man said
Horse must not go till he was paid for, for that this
Examinant had sold him to a Man who had not paid
for him, That said Newman ask'd Examinant
what he meant and what was the Matter, when
this Examinant informed him of evens Circumstance
attending said Horse's being taken as aforesaid
That said Newman then told this Examinant that
he by appartment was to meet said man at seven
o'Clock this Morning at the Fulham Bridge of
Knightsbridge , where said Man had six or seven
other Horses, that he was going to taken into the
County
