County of Middlesex
severally make Oath and say That they these
Deponents were severally bound by Recognizance (entered into
before Charles Friquet< no role >
Esquire
one of His Majestys Justice of the
Peace
in and for the said County) to appear at this present
Session to give Evidence upon a Bill of Indictment to be
preferred against the above two Prisoners (for felony) And these
Deponents further severally say that Yesterday Afternoon (the
22d. Instant) they did severally appear at the Session House on
Clerkenwell Green
and then and there gave Evidence before the
Grand Jury upon an Indictment preferred against the above
Prisoners which Indictment these Deponents were Informed
and believes was afterwards returned a true Bill And these Deponents
further severally say that they did appear in this Honorable
Court this above a little after ten OClock in order to give such Evidence upon the trial
of the said Indictment but as there Deponents are informed
and believes the same came on and was tried before these
Deponents appeared and the above Prisoners were (as these Deponer
-ents are informed and believes on account of the absence of there
Deponents) Acquitted and the Recognizance of these Deponents
became forfeited and was as they are informed and believes ordered
to be Estreated-And these Deponents for the severally say
that their not attending as aforesaid did not happen from any
wilful neglect of theirs, or any intention to serve the Prisoners
or to presert the due course of Justice, but entirely from Mistake
