Hermitage Stairs together with him this
Deponent and a Rope being fastened to a
certain Ship there called the orford and also
to a certain Ship called the Friendship
and theDeceasedthe Wherry in which the
Deceased and Deponent was being Impeeded
by such Rope he the deceased called out to
[..] the persons on board such Ship the orford
to tighten such Rope that the Wherry might
go under neath the same but they Neglecting
so to do and one hamper or Caspett then being
in [..] such Wherry was thrown over
board into the River Thomes by such Rope
upon which one John Isbester< no role >
who was as this Deponent had been informed
and verily believes a Seaman on board such
Ship Orford and who were then in a Wherry
Picked up to the Hamper or baskett and
brought it to the side of the Wherry in while
the Deponent and the deceased [..] That
Words then arose between the deceased and
the said John Isbester< no role > and the deceased
Amos Gill< no role > Struck the said John Isbester
with the Skull or Oar he was then Rowing
with an a thereupon the said John Isbester
Struck the Deceased with the Clade of a Skul
[..] or oar which he then and there held in both
his hands and immediately afterwards turned
