that the said Counterfeit Copper half pence could not be made

The Information of Edward Lavender< no role >
taken upon Oath before me Wm. Blackborow< no role > Esqr . One
of This Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the
said County this 9th. day of March 1787

Who upon his Oath saith that on Tuesday last the 6th. day of
March Instant at about the hour of Four of the Clock in the Afternoon
in Company with John Dinmore< no role > and two others he went to the House
No. 13 Peter Street in the Parish of St. John Clerkenwell in the said County
having received Information that the Current Copper Coin of this Realm
called half pence were there Feloniously made and Counterfeited
This Informant knocked at the door which after some little time was
opened by the Prisoner Thomas Worlings< no role > who was in a Room on the Grand
floor Immediately on the door being Opened the said John Dinmore< no role >
Ran past this Informant to the Stairs leading to the Cellar who Instantly
followed him and in the Space between the Cellar and Yard they took
the Prisoner Thomas Taylor< no role > This Informant Instantly pursued the
other two Prisoners Thomas Harcourt< no role > & Mary Worlings< no role > who had Concealed
themselves in the Privy from which this Informant [..] brought them
the said Mary Worlings< no role > appeared much Frightened her face Smutty
and her hands very dirty and black the said Thomas Taylor< no role > and
Thomas Harcourt< no role > had not either of their Coats on and their hands
were likewise extremely black and dirty they were then Secured
by the Assistance of the other two Officers namely Jonathan Redgrave< no role > and Wm. Brackney< no role >
This Informant then went into the Cellar and there found fixed a
large Stamping Press Compleat with two dyes fixed in the Press and
one Counterfeit Cooper Half penny between the said Dyes and [..] a
Quantity of other Counterfeit Cooper Half pence lying Round the
bottom of the Press all of which this Informant Secured This
Informant also found in another part of the Cellar by the
direction of the said Thomas Taylor< no role > the Prisoner five other Dyes
Which Informant also Secured The said Thomas Taylor< no role > was
then asked by this Informant and the said Jonathan Redgrave< no role >
