< no role > , and Benjamin Burrows< no role > taken before me
Sr . Edwd Bindloss< no role > Bart . one of His Majtys Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County [..] liberty
this 18 February 1786

Who being on their Oaths do severally say and first the said Frances Bates< no role > both for herself say
that between seven and eight O' Clock in the Evening of Wednesday the 18 day of January last past
being then in Company with Charlotte Jurors< no role > a Man (whose name they are since informed is
James Ellingsworth< no role > followed them from Queens Square into the Bird Cage Walk in the Park
and after some Conversation come back with them to the Hoop and Grapes in Queens Square
where he treated them with two half Quarters of Gin and then returned back with them to
the Bird Cage Walk where he wanted to be Tree with Bates which She repasing he demanded
to be Satisfied for the liquor or he would take something in Taken [..] and then laid holden
her Cloak that in her repasing her Cloak he directly Stratched her That and Ribon from
her head and ran away on which She and Charlotte Jones< no role > both of them Cried Stop Thief
and Benjamin Burrows< no role > being then a Contind on Duty Stopt him with the Has in his hand
and confirmd him by the side of This Continel Box whits she went by his direction to the
Serjeant of the Guard (Mr Mason) who was then at the Bell Alehouse Petty France with
Corporat Fish which said Corporal Fish came with her directly to Burrows Continel Box
and Ordered him to Let Ellingsworth go who had her That still in his hands and Went may
with it

Frances Bates< no role > on Wednesday Evening the 18 of January last pasts and that What She
has deposed above is Strictly true in every Particular

Charlotte Jones< no role >

and the said Benjamin Burrows< no role > doth for himself was that he was Continel in the
Park on Wednesday evening the 18th January last past that he took Ellingsworth into
Custody as above described and let him go by Order of Corporal Fish
