Middlesex to wit


The Informations of Thomas Bishop< no role > of
the Saracen Head Gentleman . Richard Curtis< no role > of the
same place Gentleman Margaret Bennett< no role > the Wife
John Bennett< no role > of Great Russell Street taken before
one this 15th. day of December 1786

Who being on Oath severally say and first the
said Thomas Bishop< no role > for himself saith that about
Eight o Clock last Night he and Mr. Curtis called
upon Mr. Bennett in Great Russell Street where
they supped That about one o' Clock Mr. Curtis and Mrs.
Bennett left the Room at which time Mr. Curtis
gave this Informant twenty six Guineas and a half
which he put into a Glove with another Guinea of his
own that he put the Glove into his Right Hand Coat
Pocket That he took off his Coat and put it [..]
on a Sopha in the Room That he lay down upon
the Sopha and put the Coat under his Head at
which time the Person now present and calling herself
Ann Barry< no role > was in the Room and no other Person
whatever That when he awaked in the Morning the Coat
was in the same situation as when he went to sleep
That he got up and went into the next Room where
Mr. Curtis was in bed witt Mrs. Bennett Carring the Coat upon the Sopha as aforesaid That when
he returned into the said Room The Coat was removed
into the Middle of the Sopha and soon after he
missed the said Glove and Money And this Informant
further Says that he verily believers the said Ann
Barry
< no role > feloniously stole the said Glove and the said
twenty seven Guinea as and a half And this Informant
Richard Curtis< no role > for himself saith That he went with
Mr. Person to Mr. Bennetts as aforesaid That he
gave to said Mr. Brown twenty six Guineas and a
half soon after which [..] he left the said Mr.
Brown and went to bed and that early this Morning
the said Mr. Brown acquainted this Informant that
a Glove
