whom I have Admitted on Evidence in this Majesty's
behalf in a base of Felony taken upon Oath
before me

in and for
the said County this 6th. day of Decemr. 1786
This Informant upon his Oath saith that on [..] Monday
the 4th. day of December Instant at about the hour of Nine of
the Clock in the Morning he went into the House of Mrs. Hall in
Sharps Alley
near Click Lane
in order to Light his Pipe
that the Prisoners James Day< no role >
and two Woman was in the Room
That this Informant being a Dealer in Cloaths
asked if there was
any thing to sell the said James Day< no role >
said Yes and
produced the Silk Gown found in this Informant Custody
by Mr. Redgrave the Officer And that he gave to the said
James Day< no role >
the Sum of Fourteen Shillings for the same That
he bought nothing else of the said James Day< no role >
that Morning
but he hath aforetime bought several trifling things in the
said House And this Informant further saith that the Woman
did not take any part in the above transaction but sat at
the fire the whole time And that the Silk Gown now produced
is the same as he bought as aforesaid
