Who being upon Oath say & first Robert Askey< no role >
for
Himself says that this Evening between the Hours of Six &
Seven He saw a Man looking in at the Window of Mr: Basnet
Hosier
in Tothil Street
that Suspecting [..] He had some
Ill design He watched him saw the Man stoop down on his side
[..] his Arm in the Shop that not being able to reach He went
down the Step of the Door & took a Bundle from off a Seat in the Shop
that this informant immediately Seized Him & saw Him drop the
Bundle in the said Shop that informant telling Him He had Stole
the Bundle he replied you see you Thief I did not mean to robb
the Shop

for Himself says that going down Tothil Street
between the Hours of Six & Seven this Evening He saw a Man &
Two Girls about the window of Mrs: Basnet Hosier that suspecting
they meant to Steal Something He Watched them & saw the Man
Strop down on his Side & put his Arm in the Shop then go down
the Step of the Door & reach a Bundle which was on a Seat in
the said Shop that He rushed forward & saw the Garters by which
the Bundle was tied in this Hand & saw the Bundle fall
And Jannet Atkinson< no role >
for Herself says that between the
Hours of Six & Seven this Evening She was in the Shop of
Mr. Basnet Hosier in Tothil Street
to Purchase some Good
& had put a Bundle which she had brought in the Shop with
Her on a Betch behind Her that she saw a Man took in
at the Window on going into the said Shop who she believes to be the Prisoner that she was
alarmed by a Noise & some Persons coming in the Shop &
Charging a Man now present who calls Himself Thomas Gray< no role >
With Stealing Her Bundle
