his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of
Middlesex
This Informant Thomas Griffiths< no role >
on his Oath Saith that on
Thursday [..] the thirteenth day of January last he was applied
to by one John Weldon< no role >
to buy of the said John Welson< no role >

some deals and some Mahogany, and upon his asking the
said Weldon where the deals were he was told by Weldon
that they were to come from Mr. Bodys Timber yard in
old Street Road
in the Parish of Saint Luke
Middlesex
who offered to sell them to this Informant, Twelve foot,
three Inch deals, at One shilling and six pence a deal
and that they were to be brought out of Mr. Bodys Yard
aforesaid, upon which this Informant Suspecting they
must be stolen (the price being so low, asked for the same)
he this Informant acquainted William Broomfield< no role >
his
fellow Workman (who are both Sawyers
Carpenters)to go and
Watch the said Mr. Bodys Timber Yard in order to detent
the persons taking away Deals there from And further
Saith that he like wise called the Assistance of his
Brother John Griffiths< no role >
on the above matter and
they together apprehended the said Thomas Hudson< no role >
, Thomas
Phillips< no role >
and John Lewther< no role >
the Prisoners now under
Examination [..]
[..] carrying away the seven deal board
now produced
And these Informants John Griffiths< no role >

both say and each of them for himself
Saith that on thursday night the Eighteenth day of
January Instant they went in Company with Thomas
Griffiths< no role >
to watch the Timber Yard of Mr Body aforesaid
and that the next night they together Apprehended
the said Thomas Hudson< no role >
, Thomas Phillips< no role >
John Lewther< no role >
and one Thomas Pickering< no role >
with the seven deal Boards
now produced.
