The Information of Henry Wright< no role > Clerk to Capt.
Armstrong of Percy Street Rathbone place taken
before me this 2nd. Day of October 1784.

Who being on Oath says that he is Nephew to William Morrow< no role >
alias William Murray< no role > , Clerk to Messrs. Robert and Henry Drummond< no role >
and Co of Charing Cross Bankers. That in the latter end of May or beginning
of June last, his said Uncle William Morrow< no role > , came to this Informant
at Captain Armstrong's and desired this Informant would purchase
for Him £525 Stock in the 4 Pr Cents, but in this Informant's
Name, giving this Informant at the same time about £400 for
that purpose in Bank Notes ad Money; amongst which this
Informant recollects were three Bank Notes of £100 each That
said Morrow alias Murray observed at this time that some time
ago, "He had purchased Stock in the 3 pr. Cents with Money which
he had saved out of his Salary and which Stock he had since
So let out in order for this Informant to purchase for Him (but
in this Informants Name in the 4 Pr. Cents, to save him the said
Morrow the trouble and expence". That said Morrow to let
this Informant that £200 of the said £400, belonged to Mr.
Stanton, a Friend of his in Cumberland. That in the latter and
of June or beginning of July last, said Morrow alias Murray,
came to Informant again, gave this Informant about £200 and
desired him to purchase £262..10..0 Stock in the 4 Pr.. Cents
in this Informant's Name, which Informant did. That said Morrow
observed that He had just received his Salary and some Perquisites
that on or about the 7th.. of Septr.. last said Morrow alias Murray
applied to this Informant again and desired Informant to purchase
for Him the same Stock viz £262..10..0 in the 4 pr Cents in this
