The Information of Richard Akerman< no role > This name instance is in set 4413.
of the Old Bailey in the City of London
Gent . Taken this 28th. day of September 1784
before us two of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace in and for the said County.

Who being on his Oath saith that as he in
Company with John Cotton< no role > and Patrick Bigby< no role > Esqrs .
were coming from Blackwall in a Hackney Coach between
the houses of seven and Eight O Clock on Saturday Evening
last they were Stopt by two Footpads the one came on out
Side of the Coach. and the other on the other Side

That the person who came on that Side of the Coach
where Informant sat. pointed a Cutlass to his Breast
and demanded his Watch and Money. but on Informants
saying he had neither Watch or Money the person who
was on his side attempted to take the watch from him
and taking hold of the Chain gave it a Snatch
which broke one of the Links of the Chain And
left the Watch behind. but by means of the Chain
being broke the said Person look away Part of the
Chain and two [..] Seals and one King Seal [..]
That the said piece of Chain and Seals now produced
are the same which was forcibly taken from him
as aforesaid and that [..] he verily believes and
Suspects two persons now present and who call themselves
Henry Moore< no role > and Richard Dodd< no role > were the two persons
who Stopped the said Coach and robbed him this
Informant and the said John Cotton< no role > & Patrick Bigby< no role > Esqr
