The Information of Edward Bullock< no role > of Greville
Street Hatton Garden Watch maker and
Joseph Bottomley< no role > Son of James Bottomley< no role >
of Tudor Street near Black Fayars Bridge
Coal Merchant Taken the 21st. day of
Septemebr 1784.

The said Edward Bullock< no role > upon his Oath Saith
That last friday Evening between hours of 7 and 8
of the Clock as he was coming home to his own house
he saw a Felllow lurking about his house which caused
him to Suspect that some persons had got into an Empty
house Situate next door to this Informant House
Whereupon this Informant went to the door of such
Empty house and finding the same a small way open he
Pushed the door open and immediately saw a Man in
the passage who had under his arm several Locks
Tyed up in an Handkerchief upon which this Informant
Seized hold of him and Charged him with being a Thief
The said Man made Resistance and Rescued himself
but his Informant Pursued him and had him Secured
That he says his Name is Joseph Jacksons< no role > .

The said Joseph Bottomley< no role > upon his Oath Saith
That the Empty House above mentioned is the property
of his Father the said James Bottomley< no role > upon Lease
That he has been upon the premises land finds Three
Locks has been Taken off and upon fitting the Locks
now produced upon the doors they were taken off
they prove to be the Indentical Locks which were taken
upon the prisoner.
