And first she said John Bonekan on his Oath sayth that
this Evening between the Hours of Six and Seven
as

was goingwent up Stairs to his Bed Chamber in the House
of his said Master

The said

to shift their Cloaths, where he said
the prisoner who says his name is Michael Gafney
with a Silk Handkerchief in which was tied up
two Linen Shirts and one pair of Leather Shoes his
property. That this Informant took the said Handkerchief
away from the prisoner who ran down Stairs That this
Informant followed him and seized him in Whitechapel
High Street

sayth that he went up Stairs this afternoon with the

that he saw the Prisoner in the
Room where he was going to shift himself with a
Silk Handkerchief containing sundry Articles and saw
the said

take the said handkerchief
from the Prisoner who run down Stairs Further saith
the Hankerchief and pair of Shoes now produced are

property as is the Metal Buckles taken out of the said
Michael Dafney Pocket in the Presence of the Justice
