THE Information of Edward Hall< no role > at the sign of a Swan in Old Gravel
Lane in the Parish of Saint George Middlesex Victualler
Taken this 7th. Day of March 1783 before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith about Six oClock in The Evening of Saturday
Last. Ann Levell< no role > and Elizabeth Yealand< no role > now precent came into his Kitchen
he this Informant being at that time in the Cellar and no person
in the Kitchen. That when he came up Stairs the said
Ann Lovell< no role > called for a Pint of Beer which Informant went
and drew. and delivered to said Ann Lovell< no role > . who after
drinking the same paid this Informant Seven Farthings
as she was going out of the door with the said Elizabeth Yealand That about two hours
after they were gone. Informants wife having Occasion to go
to the Cupboard in the Klafter She perceived the Silver Tankard now
here produced had been then lately Stolen form thence. That
Informants Suspecting the same must have been Stolen
by either the said Ann Lovell< no role > or Elizabeth Yealand< no role > . went & Called
Peter Cleeves< no role > a Headborough of the said Parish to his Assistance
who went to the house of Elizabeth Yealands Mother in New
Gravel Lane . and Us he was going up Stairs he heard
Something like a Lid of a Tankard Rattle. That when he
got up Stairs) which was one Pair) he saw the prisoner Lovell
Standing by the Bed side and telling her she had got some
of his property she desired it when Informant desired her
to entice her Bundle but which she again desired Saying she had not any of his
Property. That he then [..] took her by the Arm and Put
his on one side and looking on the Bed there found the
Tankard abovementioned which he upon his Oath us aforesaid
declares to he his property andthewhich he suspects was
privately Stolen from the place above Set forth by the
said Ann Lovell< no role > . or Elizabeth Yealand.
