Oath before me one of His Majesty's
Justices of the peace in and for the
said County this fifteenth Day of
April One Thousand seven hundred
and eighty three;

Who saith that he this Informant on Monday
the third Day of March last enclosed in a Letter
directed to Mr. George Rusher Colchester< no role > two Bank
Notes of the Description and Value following, Vizt.,
One No. 39 dated 19th Feby 1783 for Thirty Pounds
payable to S Harling; and the other, No. B 50
dated 28th. Jany. 1783 for Twenty Pounds payable
to Messrs. Walpole & Co.That he This Informant
sealed the said Letter and about the Hour of Seven
o'Clock in the Evening of the said third Day of March
put the same with the said Bark Notes therein
enclosed into the General Post Office London And this
Informant further saith that he hath arefully looked
at and examined the Bank Note now produced and
appearing to be numbered No. B. 59 dated 28th. Jany
1783 for Twenty Pounds Payable to Messrs. Walpole & Co.
And this Informant doth verily believe that the same
is one of the Bank Notes which this Informant so
enclosed in the said Letter as aforesaid and that the Number
thereof hath since that Time been altered And this Informant
further saith he hath been informed and verily believes that
the said George Rusher< no role > never received the said Letter
and Bank Notes or either of them.
