That this Examinant with the said Francis Gray< no role > , one
William Hart< no role > who is now at Sea and one Edmund Powell< no role >
commonly called Justice, now at large some time a little after
last Christmas in the Field leading from London to Hackney
near the Shoulder of Mutton and Cat attacked three or four
Gentlemen and a Lady and robbed them of [..] four or five Guineas
and about Forty Shillings in Silver and three Watches, one of
them in a green Case made flattish but larger in the Circumference
than most other Watches and appeared to have only a Single Cave
one of them a Gold Watch in a Single Case and a metal Watch in a
Shagreen Case which Watches were disposed of by Gray to
some Person or Persons unknown to this Examinant and the Money
they sold for parted afterwards amongst all of them

That one John Merchant< no role > a Plaisterer who lately lived in
Lilly Street Saffron Hill was concerned with this Examinant
the said Caddie Stunnel and Gray in robbing the Stage Coach
and the Hackney Coach in King's land Road about a Month ago
particularly mentioned in his former Examination and was
also concerned with them in robbing the [..] an in [..]
Chaise near Pancras about a fortnight ago before also mention

That this Examinant with the said Caddie and Stunnel in
some time in August last stopped a Coach and a Gentleman on
Horseback about eleven o'Clock at Night between the Fox and
Shoreditch Workhouse in King's land Road. That they did not
rob any Person in the Coach of any Thing but a few Half pence
but robbed the Gentleman on Horse back of a Crown piece
two or three Shillings one or two of which were bad; and
that Caddie on first stopping the Gentleman on Horse back
struck him with a Hanger

That on the same Evening on which Mr. Herd was killed
but a little before that happened, this Examinant with the
said CaddieandStunnel and Gray stopped a Coach in the
Road near Pancrass but no person was in the Coach; and
that on the Coachmans refusing to stop this Examinant
shot at him with a pistol but they did not rob him
